Don't post here much read it every day. Lost the taillights on the trailer wiring on a 2003 ram 1500 supposedly the relays for trailer wiring are in the fuse box $600 part not serviceable. I'm thinking to just tie in at the taillights putting a 10 amp circuit breaker there and then run the wire down to the trailer connector anyone have a better thought

That sounds like a plan, but if you change the tail lights to LED, the fuse is not needed. (all trailers pulled by that rig should have LED bulbs. The wiring systems have been reduced in gauge in the last ten years. I would not trust it with added lamps. Do the remaining turn/brake lights work on the trailer? and do they work on the truck? Jim

Thanks. LED do drop the amp draw a lot.i'll try that LEDare $$. And yes Napa does carry the relays

Look under the hood ,left side they hid an inline fuse just for trailer lights. Had that on my truck , took the service guy quite a long time to find. Wish you luck! joe

Pretty sure I remember the 2003 2500 5.9L had a fuse/fuses in the fuse box for trailer.
Don't know about 1500.

And those lamps are very dangerous to people following, At night too bright blind the person following, Snow will not melt the snow off so that you cannot see anything is ahead of you at night. Then just about every one has some of the led's burnt out. Have seen half of them not working and they will not be replaced because of the cost untill some one has a wreck because of them.

I find it hard to believe the relay is non serviceable. My Dodge uses a standard plug in relay. The normal problem is a blown power fuse for the trailer lights/
