Just had an f2 hauled up from Iowa to southern Minnesota. About 250 miles cost $4 per loaded mile.

Remember that it is over width and I think has to be dismantled to haul. Check out the parts book on Deere's web site to see what all is involved in taking the hitch off as that is the wide part to be able to go past the 8' header. A lot wider to transport than the 55.

$300 - $500 not as bad as I thought

If you've got actual quotes for that amount, and they are from legitimate insured haulers, and they understand what they are hauling, then hire them immediately. $300 is barely $1 a loaded mile, and $500 isn't even $2.
