I am looking to try and locate a matching rim for my 1948 9n tractor. It was used in an orchard before i purchased it and one of the rims has been patched a long time ago and is now splitting from brine erosion they are NOTthe standard ford hat rims they are solid as near as i can tell 13 wide by 24 i have good tires chains and tubes but one rim is rotted out.

First off you do not have a 48 9N as the 9N was only made in 1939 to 1942 when the 2N came from late 42 to 1947 and the 8N came out as a 1948 model up through 1952 when the NAA came out as a 1953. Not to the rei that is a cobbled up rim somebody made. It has the center part from the hat rim but somebody took off the rim part and found a rim they could weld onto the center part. Your only option is finding the rim like you have and having it welded back to center of your rusted out rim.

all i know is what i was told, i have found one tractor in ohio for sale with identical rims with mine, i will have to take a closer look when i get home but i never saw a weld bead around the center section

In all the stuff I have read over the years a 24 inch rim was not offered on any of the N series tractors. The hub shows what should be a 9N and as said 1939-1942 where the production years and note the first year equals the model it is as in 39 equals the 9N first year. The 24 inch rim was an option on the Jubilee/NAA but would not bolt up so you probably have an aftermarket rim
