looked at a homemade back blade today

It was a decent job but he had the top link at at least 45 degree angle down to the tractor end. Asked him why so high and he said "think about it, when the blade is pushing the top link is pushing down on the tractor for better traction"

That reminds me - I have a single wheel front off of a 4020 on my 630. It has a fat cartoonish looking tire on it that makes it a little nose high. Rides like a baby buggy. One of the local guys seriously swore that it robbed power because the tractor was constantly going uphill. This guy was a truck driver and also swore that all of the interstates ran uphill. Both directions.

Sometimes it's easier to just nod in agreement. . .

Having bought the fuel for a semi for over a decade I can tell you with some certainty that all the interstates are up hill in both directions.

Yeah, and don't matter which direction you are driving, the wind will be a headwind. Especially in the plains

I-95 from Florence SC northbound towards Richmond VA. was definitely "uphill". And from Florence SC southbound to Florida was "downhill". Your comment makes perfect sense to me. Keep safe!!
