Massey ferguson 135 not running

Hi there
I'm new to these forums.
I have a 1970 mf 135 with the ag3 152 Perkins gas engine. And it was running horrible when it came to me and I did a tune up new plugs wires coil points condenser etc. seem to have a good spark now and also rebuilt the zenith carb although it was mostly gaskets and a new needle valve and seat. The float is fairly parallel when upside down in closed position so i think its adjust right. The main jet looked clean no obstructions anywhere I saw. Everything is back together and got it to idle sort of rough but dies as soon as you give it throttle. I'm also drained the tank and put a new sediment bowl and fresh gas in it. Still not running correct. Any ideas anyone? Seems like I got air spark and fuel, just not sure if I have the correct amount of fuel. Plugs look almost sotty like it's running rich but acts like it's starving for fuel please help

.021 is right for the points. If the plugs
look sooty, then it's too rich. Check your
carb again....

Does it have the fuel solenoid shown in Ray's book? That would need to have power for the tractor to run properly. If that's not it then your high speed jet/ circuit is not open enough or has a plugged passage. Dieing because points are to close would only be a symptom for an automotive type distributor equipped with a vacuum advance receiving a ported off idle vacuum signal. Where movement of the breaker plate by the vacuum advance would cause the point gap to change slightly, when the point gap became to small the movement would essentially not allow the points to open so there would momentarily be no spark.

A simple way to check the float height is to roll a drill bit of the appropriate size between the float and gasket..

Yes it has fuel solenoid. It sucks in when power is applied and using calipers determined it's pulling away far enough to open main jet. Main jet is all clean and all the tiny holes are clear.

So if the float is too high will that cause it to run rich?
I preset idle needle to 2 turns out and then tried messing with it as it idled but didn't change much less I cranked it in too far.
I put new throttle shaft seals in but the shaft seems like it still has a little slop in it.
I'll recheck the float today.
Also what's the firing order on this thing pretty sure it's 1-2-3
But want to make sure I don't have a wire crossed.
I put number 1 ( front cylinder on tdc compression and it lined up with the spot on distributed for #1 wire. And it turns counter clockwise so went that way with wires.
I messed up and changed everything at once which I didn't plan on rebuilding carb till I realized the float needle was stuck on so fuel ran everywhere. But is it possible to have a bad condenser or something? I change coil because spark was wimpy and thought it made it better points and consenser were new but here condenser can be bad new

Well I figured it out today, a faulty new condenser was the cause, there was a good spark when cranking and this time I cranked it longer and realized that after a bit the spark stops. Thanks for everyone's advice, running beautiful now.
