I live about 70 miles west of the border. My son lives in Grosse Pointe Park, just a few miles from the border crossing. We have a lot of friends in Windsor, so we both got the enhanced drivers licenses that allow easy border crossings.

What is your question? I worked there for many years....but 15 years ago. If it is geography, it hasn't changed.
If it is regs......maybe?

I work in Warren, MI, about 30 minutes from the border crossing. Used to work a short walk from the Detroit-Windsor tunnel. Wassup?

I'm about 20 miles from the Windsor tunnel along I-94. I'll be moving to St. Clair,MI in a month or so which is about 10 miles from the Sarnia crossing. Why? You looking for someone to smuggle something across?

It's kind of neat to dine out along the St. Clair or Detroit river and watch the freighters go by and look over at our Canadian friends. My favorite restaurant is Joe Muer's which closed years ago in Detroit and then reopened in the RenCen in downtown Detroit. Fine dining and great view.

Ill be on vacation in a few weeks time and plan on visiting friends in Ontario befor flying back home. Ive a motorcycle that Id be interested in possibly buying up in Traverse City, if I go view it Id be doing the Windsor border crossing there and back. Id ship the bike out of NJ so would need it collected by shipping company so Im thinking if I had somewhere safe to store it near the border then that would cut down on 500 miles trucking to the port. It was just a thought as I dont have time before my flight to take it all the way to NJ.

You are welcome to leave it at my place. There is room on one side of the garage or in the equipment shed. I would not want to store it all winter, but it can sit there for a month or so while you get your arrangements made. The place is about 50-60 miles from the Detroit crossing. Google Howell, MI and you will get the general vicinity. If that works, drop me an email.

You might want to consider the Port Huron border crossing. Saves miles (I think)and avoids driving thru the city congestion. Are you visiting Windsor anyway? Ask locals about the Windsor ballet.

Bill, I'm about an hour away from the Detroit/Windsor crossing, north on I-75. Also, our place is about an hour and a half from the Sarnia/Port Huron crossing. I can find room in my shop for your new ride. I'll shoot you an email with my contact info.

FWIW, there are companies that specialize in transporting motorcycles; you can probably leave the bike with a dealer and get it shipped anywhere in the country.

Daughter owns a house three residential blocks from highway 402 and Murphy Road in Sarnia . Maybe 5 minutes to the Port Huron Michigan border crossing.
