Another bad day

Mowing a never been mowed brush field making a 50 ft fire break I got hung up on a pile of old brush, and logs. I had to get my other tractor and be pulled out. Today I had a flat tire right from the start. Naturally no tools. Went home for tools. Got the tire off, and couldn't get in my pickup. I thought I could lift a 28 inch tire and slide it into my pickup. I started home, saw a worker painting a fence. I talked him into helping me about a block away. Good thing I knew a little Spanish. We got the tire in my pickup. I had to leave it at the tire shop. waiting for a call now. Stan

Hate those "never been done" mow-ings. Had one several years ago, walked with the owner and asked about cabling and other things. "No problem, everything is well buried". So there I was mowing with a flail mower when suddenly twain and pffffft. I had about 75' of cable wrapped on the end of the main shaft with much of it bound against the end bearing. Spent many hours getting that un-wrapped.

when I mow my only neighbors field every few years I put the teeth on the bucket and scrape the ground as I bushog, and check the bucket teeth every row end, saved quite a few hrs work.....

That 28 inch tire must not be ballasted, otherwise you would have needed more than one helper to load it. Have you considered mounting a crane in your truck bed? You'd find it useful for a bunch of stuff.
