Farmtrac 45

I have a 2002 FT 45 that leaks PS fluild out of the top of the steering tube, I am thinking that fluid is not to be in this area to begin with, the parts manual shows an "O" ring at the base, does anybody have any knowledge about these repairs? I am thinking the "O" is the culprit where the tube enters the base. Tried seal sweller, worked for a while, but this tractor is only used on a hunting lease, 15 years old and 600hrs. Any help would be much appreciated as my FT mechanic does not want to fool with the repair.

There is a seal in the top of the steering motor that probably has gone bad. They used two different steering motors on those but I'm not sure
when they changed. You can get parts from Mid Western steering to repair. This pic is the early one used.
