I really questioned the credibility when my wife showed me this news clip. Apparently a car decked out like the good ol' General ended up on a rocky hill off an overpass this afternoon in Halifax (Nova Scotia Canada) airport area. I can hear ol Rosco getting excited over the sight now lol

Where I used to live, the manager of the local chain-store pharmacy was a fanatic about Dukes of Hazzard. Had one car complete and fixed up like the General Lee, but wanted another one identical to it--just in case.
 
So that is where they are sending all the Confederate Monuments!

I Guess the General finally missed a jump. (Couldn't resist.)
 
Maybe one of the cars they used to make the show fell off a truck. I heard they wrecked an unbelievable number, something like two per episode. But really, are you surprised that someone who would paint up a car like that might wreck it?

I saw the movie on TV today. Stunt driver for them lives near here. Wonder if he saved one of their cars.
 
They always went to commercial when the car was in the air, arcing back toward the ground at an angle it would never survive after it hit the ground.
 
It would appear that Daisy reached over from the passenger seat and ...... well, you can see what happened !!!
