91 Ford F 150 key cyl/ign act help

Are there any step by step instructions on assembly? I understand how it works, but don't understand the order it goes together.

Go to a local library they may have a repair manual to copy pages out of. If your in good with your Ford dealer they might do the same.

What part are you replacing? The electrical part isn't near the key, it's lower on the steering column, activated by a pushrod maybe a foot long. I think I have a shop manual from a '90 F350, should be the same setup, but I'll have to go digging for it, probably a weekend project. Oh lord, just remembered that truck had cruise and radio controls in the steering wheel! Nightmare time. It also had a recall on the electrical part of the ignition switch, you might want to check on that for yours. Anyway let me know if you haven't found anything by Saturday, I'll go spelunking.

Thanks. I did get it back together today and it works! Thank the Lord. My major concerns were how to get the drive gear and the mating
upper actuator in the proper mesh and how to get the upper actuator and the lower actuator hooked together. Also I found 2 small shims
laying on the cab floor and I'm not sure where they came from. Due to not knowing, I didn't put them back in if they came from the lock
area, but it works anyway.
