Back years ago when I was about to build our pond, I bought a D2 Caterpillar for my wife on our anniversary. Then another time, I bought an Oliver crawler just before Christmas and she put a big red bow on the exhaust stack so it was my Christmas present.

That's odd. One time my dad bought mom a new lawn mower for their anniversary on July 4, and she wasn't exactly what you'd call thrilled.
