Striped corn field

With corn planters with individual planter boxes, farmers will plant different brands/varieties at the same time. That will cause the striped look.See it some, but not often.

Two different varieties in the planter, 4 of one seed and 4 of a different.

Or, my neighbor uses hog manure for fertilizer, sometimes application is not so good and the corn is uneven, looks striped.

As below, different corn. Or can be variances in fertilizer application- plugged up tool bar, spread urea with a poor spreader, etc.

Often different varieties planted side-by-side for purposes of cross pollination for seed corn hybrids.
