Okay - Im way off on this subject; but since no one answered my last post- maybe they will this one! I come across a 1950 F-2, 3/4 pickup- stored in a shed for about 15 years. Ran when they pulled it in...tires good ...body straight and in great condition...should run with a little care. Im not a "Ford Fan" so anyone know a good offer on this unit? Thanks.
 
Seems STRANGE to me that a "not a Ford Fan" would consider paying that kind of dough for an old Ford???
 
I am a Ford fan and I'd sure give their asking price a lot of thought before letting someone else grab it. How many in that condition is out there every day. I believe I'd offer a little less but wouldn't let it go for a few dollars more if I wanted it. Get it running & polished up a bit and get more out of it.
 
My buddy's Dad sold his '52 F-2 at auction about 7-8 years ago. Had the in-line 6 & 4-speed. Inside of cab was rough, quite a bit of rust actually. Sold for $500 and the buyer drove it onto his trailer.

Dad had a '49 F-2, and a '54 F-250, but the truck I would really like to find was his '56 F-350 pickup, 9 ft long box, 292-V-8 and 4-speed. Didn't ride real smooth till you got 2000-3000 pounds in the box. The 17 inch tires were about impossible to find in the 1960's but common enough now. The long wheelbase, skinny tires with marginal tread made driving on slick muddy/snowy ground, even pavement almost impossible. Really should have been a 4WD. The thing Really needed dual exhaust or headers. As typical on the FE engine, exh. crossover pipe ran right in front of the carb, hot days and hard pulls brought on instant vapor lock, cough, sputter and pull to the side of the road. I drove a '59 F-750 with 312 V-8 that did the same thing.
 
Yeah that's what I was wondering?:) No rust-all straight.....good condition....there selling for $15,000 and up- restored. I have two many tractors lined up to do- anyone interested?
