I was able to attend the worlds largest atv show that had a few antique tractors on Thursday,Friday and Saturday. This years Half Century of Progress show was great. Perfect weather and great field conditions. They announced at the tractor pull on Sat night that Thursday they had over 60,000 people and Friday over 100,000 plus the exhibitors, food people and show staff. Even with 20-30,000 atv's on friday you were still able to see and get around if you took your time. I hope to post some pics soon. Tom

I have to agree about the worlds largest atv show. The thing that got me was tgey were every where. I was trying get some disking done and had to stop several times because of them.being in the field
Oh well it only happens every other year

I'll catch a lot of flack for this, but I didn't like all the ATVs etc last time. If you are not on one, getting run over is a concern.

Many on here say they are needed, but yet things like Farm Progress Show and WI Farm Tech Days get along just fine without them. And much as we don't like to admit it, walking does do us some good!

What were you driving? There was an Oliver 1650 or 1750 that I saw disking several times as well as a D19 Allis. The two disc hitch with the WD and WC was interesting as well. Tom

There are a lot of us that if we could not have something to ride on we could not go because we just cannot walk it any more. I have never been there and never will make it. I was at the Portland, Indiana show and swap meet and I use my Wheel Horse tractor to get around with. 2 years ago I had nothing to get around with and after 2 days I could not move anymore. Last year I did not stay there but I had the tractor to get around with but the extra driving to get there and back home I was just too wore out that I did not see half of the show. This year I had my camper.

I'll never go back. Saw all I wanted to see with the people movers 4 years ago.
People with mobility issues should be able to use whatever all others walk or use people movers.
Biggest share of able people were the biggest jerks on ATVs.

I'm with you OL88D! Great Show, but I'll not be going back. Way too many golf carts and utv's. No problem with those that are not able to walk, but the vast majority do not need them. Show should restrict the carts and add more people movers. Carts lined up the length of the runway, both sides, sometimes 2 deep, to see the parade, blocking out the walkers view. Crazy how they were crowding the field demonstrations with the carts. Just my 2 cents.
