Well, we brought the new Kubota home this afternoon. Grandson tedded hay with it and said it was enjoyable to drive. As for me, I guess I'll find out one of these days LOL. My oxygen concentrator does fit nicely behind the seat (glad we're all short). The wife has pulled it into the building but I figure she'll want to drive it in the future. I don't know how I got 2 pics of the herd but I guess it won't hurt.

Keith Be sure someone goes over the bolts that hold the rim to the dish after about 25 hrs. One thing that pops up ,folks do not go back and check them, if you ever run them loos might as well get a new set of bolts. Hope you enjoy the new KUBOTA.

The tractor. If it weren't for the wife, I'd have absolutely nothing. She has been the one who has managed all our money for the past 45 years and she knows if we can afford something or not. She's not only my wife, but has been my best friend for more than the 45 years.

No Keith I don,t been out of the shop for years but know that those wheels working loos has been a top issue with 4 wheel loader tractors. Your unit actually has a redesigned wheel with thicker center dish and more bolts. Be Monday but I will try to get you the torque. Dealer should have went back over them on pre-delivery inspection but still need to check them after about 25 hrs

Good to see somebody else stores their hay elevator on the rafters.

Nice looking tractor, fits in well in the herd.

Now that you mention the oxygen concentrator, I think there was a "method to her madness"- She wanted you to have clean air and not a bunch of dirt screwing it (and you) up.

When I worked for Production Credit Assn. in the '70's, a dairy farm customer wanted to finance a new tractor. He was agonizing over whether to spend the extra for a cab. He was inclined not to. Suddenly, his wife spoke up- she said you know I don't interfere much with the way you run the farm, but we need to get that cab. You have colds, flu or worse every winter, spreading manure in the rain and wind. She turned to me and said "Put in the money for the cab". He just kind of smiled weakly and shrugged, but you could tell he was happy that she had put her foot down.

Is that a spinner knob on the WD or WD 45. Was feeding cows one winter and hit a frozen track. Steering wheel spun around and that knob hit me right behind the wrist. Thumb was numb for over two weeks. I took it off. Your wife will have that new tractor in the field and you will be heating up TV dinners for her and you for lunch.

What is the model of the Massey Ferguson tractor facing out. I've been looking at a MF 698 for a spare round bale loading tractor and haying backup. Posted on MF forum but nobody has any opinions to share about a 698. LOL

It's a 255 high clearance. w/38" rubber. I'm getting ready to sell it. It runs like a charm and the engine was completely rebuilt 2 years ago. It's a 78 model and sat from 82 till 2 years ago when it was bought and the engine was rebuilt. It does have a short in the AC wiring so it doesn't work. I don't need it now that I've got this one. If interested my emails usually always open.

It is a spinner but it does have power steering. Pretty unusual to see a 52 model WD with it but it was ordered with a mounted corn picker and power steering from the factory (or at least that's the story I ws told and it sure looks factory. Steers like it too. I wouldn't have one with a spinner if it didn't have power steering, I too have had my wrist slapped when they weren't power steering & it felt so good LOL Believe it or not, that old WD is my favorite of all of them including the new one but there is just so much you can do with it anymore.
