Purchased a Montgomery Ward cement mixer in 1967 - $49.95 paid it out $5 a month, put an old washing machine motor on it. I have modified it a number of times since. This is my favorite modification. <image src="http://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/photos/mvphoto2543.jpg"/>

Fantistic Idea!!

I have a Wards cement mixer setting out back that was bought in about that same time period. I have not used it in years but I have been thinking about mixing some cement for post bases. In the thinking I was trying to think of a way to get it done from my wheelchair. Your idea would solve that problem. The bagged ready mix could be slid off the tail gate into the mixer, lifted, mixed and driven to where it needed to be dumped.

May not meet the requirements, but reading the title "Favorite Tool" got me to thinking. What is my favorite? After a due amount of consideration my answer has to be: The one that gets the current job completed as competently and efficiently as possible. I have lots of favorites, like most of you, accumulated over the years and I can't name one "catch all". Just depends on what needs to be done. On "fixer-uppers" I have my share of them too.
