I have a magneto off of a customers F-12. It is not working and is beyond my ability to fix as I have no service experience with this type of magneto. I have a business card from Mark's Magneto Service in Connecticut. Does anyone have any experience with Him? I have to ship it to whomever so I thought I would see if anyone has experience with other shops that did good work. Just want it done promptly and right! suggestions welcome....

I don't know anything about the guy you mention. I DO know that Mainely Magnetos in Maine gives great service. He does a good job recharging magnets. He even can rewind hard-to-get coils. Great people to deal with. Great tech service on the phone too.

Rudy Calin at rebuiltmags(dot)com. He does a great job, and offers a variety of services from mechanical to full magneto restorations. Really puts out a great product at a very reasonable price.

I have used Marks Magnetos. Waited in line a long time on one project. Another project he sent me a long lug magneto for my short lug magneto JD. I had to pay to ship it back, and then he wanted $20 to ship the right one. I switched to Mainly Magnetos.

I have no Idea where you are located but this weekend at the Portland, Indiana show the person that rebuilds them while you wait is there. All I know about him is I see him at differnt places.

I had a mag done at Kevin's Magneto Service aka The Magneto Doctor in Manito Illinois. If he can't fix it, it probably can't be. DP
