Question for J.D.maris.

John,I would appreciate some information that you already posted sometime back. Yesterday my Son split the track on the O.C.46 so he could put on the adjusting nut on the track adjuster. I didn't think about it till the track on the left side(while in the seat)kept going out on the slack adjustment. I had to cut threads (with a Dremel tool)to get the new nut on.The pins and rollers looked like new with no wear. When the track was adjusted,I noticed a slight spot of oil underneath the rear transmission. The bolts on the rear transmission cover were loose but we did have the GL1 oil on hand and it took a gallon of the GL1 oil to bring it back to full. Now you mentioned other oil that would be permissible to use in place of Napa's GL1 which they carry,My son remembers something you said about oil that is safe to use.Sure don't want to destroy the transmission by putting in the wrong oil.So if you would be so kind as to re-post the information, we will print your reply and keep it in our manual, plus the fluid capacities of lube in the O.C.46. Every time the O.C.gets fired up, We both think of you and the great help you have been to us!!! Thanks again, Warmest regards,Lou&Victor.
