Weatherproof electric brake controller

Does anyone make an electric brake controller that is waterproof? Wanting to add one to my tractor to be able to manually actuate trailer brakes

Many years ago, I controlled brakes on a 20' gooseneck with a pushbutton taped to my pickup gearshift.
Sure not legal for on Highway use these days. It worked and was cheap. However it was all or nothing. 12 volt straight through.

I'm not aware of a waterproof controller. I use Tekonsha_90160_Primus_IQ_Electronic_Brake_Controller that looks at the stopping rate and applies brakes accordingly. That wouldn't work well on a tractor. However there is a place where you can manually apply brakes.

It can easily be unplugged and removed from tractor. Or you could put it in a waterproof container with a lid on it when in use.
I think it would be simpler to just unplug and remove from tractor when not in use.

I think it would be difficult to make one using a rheostat. Each electric magnet on my trailer measures 4 ohms. Four 4 ohm resistors in parallel = 1 ohm. So each volt sent to brakes requires 1 amp/volt. One would need a 144 watt rheostat and you would have to put it in a waterproof container.

So are there any 144 watt rheostat that when in the off position has infinite ohms?

I just used a momentary contact toggle switch mounted in the cover of a rainproof electrical box.
