I've always enjoyed pictures of the various tractor rides posted here but never heard of one in these parts. This year is Newbury Township's bicentennial and a ride was organized as one of the activities. Twenty-seven tractors participated in a 15 mile ride. I drove our 1946 COOP E3. The oldest driver was 91, in the red hat in front of his 8N. Good time and they're planning to make it an annual event.

Looks like a good time, glad you got to go!
Is that a Centaur in front of the 8N?
I didn't realize they had the ground speed for tractor rides.
One of many brands I've never owned. Always curious.

It is a Centaur, owned by the couple in matching sweatshirts. They were behind me but must have kept up. She was driving the 55. My COOP is just out of the first picture, left of the Case with loader. I was a little slow myself.

A group I'm involved with has held a ride for the last 6 or 7 years. This is the first year I was able to go. It was a couple weeks ago. It was about 54 miles long and took about 7 hours, including lunch and stops at two tractor collections along the way.
I drove my MM UTS. In addition to the ride itself I drove the tractor from my place to the starting point and then back home again. So I probably put close to 70 miles on it that day.

I enjoy tractor rides as it's a good way to meet friends, and a good slower paced way to see the country. Did a 33.5 mile ride last Sunday, not including the 45 mile round trip to get there. IH 560 diesel has 985 miles on it so far this year, and still have four rides to do yet, rain or shine!
