A prayer or two

It's been a bit of a rough week at the farm. I think I could probably use all of the help I can get.

Since February I have lost 31 pounds. That's the dream of many, but I'm 6'4" and now am at 155. Doctors were sure it was this or that but I had that feeling what I would be up against. I didn't share my thoughts with my wife until we had to deal with this week. She's kind of in denial. I'm just half way through my 42nd year and they finally told me this week we are in the hunt for a mass. I'm now nearly unable to swallow food so I'm pretty sure they won't have to look far!

They are going to schedule the scope tomorrow and we will go forward from there. I've lived my whole life farming and always plan years ahead for crops and cattle. This is a tough one to plan for. I'm thankful there are cattle to move and hay left that needs mowing. It's kept me busy enough to not think about all of the loose ends to tie up. It will be an interesting week.

May the good Lord be with you this week. Hope for the best but plan for the worst is all I can really tell you. Just like we told Larry a few weeks ago a positive attitude is very important. The fight has a big mental part as well as the physicial one.

Prayers for you and your family from here too and we all pray for a speedy recovery from whatever be the case

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a rough spot on life's road. My thoughts and prayers are with you while you face the unknowns this week, and in the days to follow. The reality for all of us is, the only certainty we have, is life is uncertain. May God provide you and your family with peace, and the doctors with wisdom, so that your medical needs can be addressed and healed.

Sorry to hear of your illness .

Praying for courage, strength, and wellness.

2 Corinthians 12 8-9

8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, ?My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.? Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ?s power may rest on me.

I wish you good luck in the weeks to come and will keep you in our prayers. Keeping a strong positive attitude is the best weapon you have. Use it nonstop and if you feel you are running low on ammunition voice it to family and friends. I am sure everyone will gladly provide you with ammo and anything needed to stay positive.

PLEASE accept the treatments..DO NOT LISTEN TO THE ENEMY, WITH WORDS OF FEAR, LIKE BURNED, HAIRLESS...LET THE LORD HEAL U IN WHICHEVER METHOD HE CHOSES...BE BLESSED, GRATEFUL, PREPARED...WILL SEE U HEALED...

I certainly hope they can figure it out quickly and get you on the road to recovery, whatever it is. Paul

Keeping two things in mind is important. One is a positive view of your ability to get back to healthy. The other is the assurance that your family, friends and YT friends are all pulling for you. Jim

Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
As others have said, keep a positive attitude.
Jim

Im sorry to hear this. My dad passed away from same thing. Many prayers to you. I would focus on getting nutrition first vs chemo n radiation. If the doctors focused on his needs vs making it worse he would still be alive today. They gave him ten rounds of radiation before even thinking of nutrition. They gave him a gtube, which helped huge. But the radiation made tumor fall off n rip his guts out. After a second opinion, they admitted they should have handled it differetly.
Think this thru carefully. I pray you have better luck. Look into getting a feeding tube asap. Im not a dr. Im a son, who lost his father.

Sorry to hear that. I am also half way through my 42 year so its an eye opener for me. Take care and listen to the doctors, dont be afraid to ask for help.

You are just a few years younger than me. I know I think about my health much more than I did a few years ago. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted on your progress. Tom

NJA -- Your news pretty much floored me (and the wife) yesterday! Didn't know what to say then and still don't know now, but you most definitely have our prayers!!
