What is wrong with people today

I do not know if I would call it
arrogance; stupidity; or laziness; so I will just assume it is a little of all three.
Would be kind of hard for someone with a 53 foot trailer to get to that dock with this pickup parked in the way.
I mean its not like there were no open spots in the huge parking lot.

I agree, but possible laziness and stupidity are at the top.

These are outgoing trailers and will be picked up late today. No trailers coming in today. Possible??

It would appear he is waiting to drop off tool that is in back of his truck, it is a tool rental center. He is waiting for spot to open up when other truck leaves.

Pappy it would be nice if that were true.

There was 2 trailers waiting to get to the dock this pickup was blocking.
They were both forced to wait on this door to the right because that white van to the left is a guy working on the other door.
Finally a guy in his 30's who looked to have no handicap came walking out with a small bag of things he had bought.
Got in his truck and drove away like he had did nothing wrong.

Lazyiness is all it is. People are just to lazy to walk anymore that is why they are so fat. You see them riding those little scooters around when they are the ones that should be walking. I have a handicap sticker and refuse to use it. Sometimes It's hard to make it home but I do. LOL If I only knew then what I know now.

Always the chance that the driver is simply one of those people we see more of every day that happen to be "the only person in the world." ( long version for A-whole) gm

Is that like when you go to a gas station mini store type of place and there is a car or truck parked in front of a pump but they do not pump any gas the y go in talk for 15 minutes and buy a soda and come out while other people have to find other pumps if any are open?? I see that all the time

This type jerk ranks right up there with those self important macho men who pull up to the front of a little store where us old folks are solving the worlds problems and get out and leave their noisy diesels running while they dawdle around for ten minutes.

My favorite is the people with gas burning vehicles that use the pumps that have diesel. They don't need diesel and when there are other pumps available the use the pumps that have both anyway. Then when you need diesel you sit and wait for them to pump their gas and when done they go into the store and come out a while later like they just did their grocery shopping for the week ! Annoying !

Kind of like the guy I got into it with when he parked his car in front of the mailbox at the post office. I know he'll think twice before he ever say "Make me" again.

Not really. I was servicing a generator at an office building. Parking spot for police only. Painted on the ground and side of building. To large signs. Idiots still parked there. Saw one guy get a ticket. Tried to tell the cops he didn't see the signs. Cop told him maybe you shouldn't be driving.

I'm wondering if he was making a delivery or receiving?

I've been to many loading docks in my pickup. I always go to the office first, then go where they tell me. As long as I stay with the truck, move asap, I don't see the problem.

I notice more and more wanna be good ol' boys who thrive on others being forced to see or
hear how impressive (they think) their bank's truck is. Remember back when the only pickups were had by farmers, construction, and those who deliver things?

This is stupid on the drivers part no questions asked. But the real blame goes to the stores who allow this to take place and never say a word. All stores have this problem mainly in the fire lane in front of the store. I for one believe in towing away any thing parked illegally, in a fire lane, loading dock and certainly handicapped parking spots. This entitlement has to stop somewhere. People do what they are allowed to do no matter how it affects others. These same people learn very quickly when slapped with a fine or towing and storage

I was one of two drivers waiting for this guy to move so I could get to the dock and make a delivery.

When I arrived the pickup was in that spot.
A few minutes later the second truck arrived.
We were both checking around trying to find the pickup owner but he was no where to be found.
About 25 or 30 minutes after I got there the guy comes walking out the store with the bag of stuff he had just bought.
By this time there was use two drivers and a couple of store employees out there.
Guy just gets in his truck and drives off like he did nothing wrong.

I see TWO pickups parked where they are blocking docks. Which one did you mean? I'm thinking that the one at the dock could be legitimately picking up or dropping off something. The other guy could have been a dock employee. I see little reason to rush to judgment without knowing the rest of the story.

What irritates me are the jerks who park their precious shiny vehicle straddling a parking line. Always thought it would be fun to park two old rusty junkers about 6 inches on either side and lock the doors and walk away.

I would think that you and the other semi driver could have found a way to park your rigs and hem this guy in until you both got back from lunch/coffee.

Home Depot put angled parking under the carport by their lumber checkout lanes. Labeled it "Pro Parking". Pretty handy for people bringing out carts of lumber or drywall and not having to push them through the lot or block the doorway while loading. However, most times they are filled with cars whose drivers are just too lazy to walk through the lot or think their time is more valuable than anyone else's or are just plain inconsiderate. I've seen them stroll into the store empty handed and come out with a little bag (similar to John's experience). One time I left my cart of 2x4's at the carport, went and got my pickup and pulled in behind one of these guys. Guy came out with his little bag while I was loading, he didn't say a word, just got in his car and was able to move forward between the posts and drive off. I was hoping he'd have to wait until I was done.
