If any of you are not in Albert City maybe you will see this. Maybe it has been on here before but my old classmate was here the other day and he was telling me about this Case out in out in Spirit Lake, Iowa with the big eagles on it and low and behold someone had it on Facebook this morning. Let's see--I went to a sale in West Kan. a couple of years ago and the had a Case globe and eagle on it and it went for $8700-Wow. Heard one went for $14000--Wow. Now I heard one went for $40000. So this guy with two of them is a wealthy man. If he leaves that tractor sit outside at night on a tractor show 4 strong guys and a pick-up truck could make a good night haul.---Tee

So, what is the story behind Case showing up as Case-IH AND Case New Holland?

Sometime around 1986 or 87 Case International
was formed. A year or possibly 2 later Ford (I
think?) bought out new holland than a few more
years after that I think Fiat bought out Ford
NewHolland and just called it New Holland and
used the Fiat leaf in the emblem. Around 10 years
ago Case IH merged with NewHolland. They share
the same engine and power train components but
use their own panel/cab designs and individual
colors names and numbers.

In January or February of 1985, I signed the franchise agreement with CASEIH for my Boss who was in Florida for his annual winter vacation. Tennaco owned Case for a few years as they had purchased Case from other investors. Case was bought up or financed in about 1967 and then started dropping off their tillage and harvesting equipment so they really had only tractors at the time Tenaco bought IH Farm Equipment. Case had a construction equipment side of their corp which I know very little about. The New Holland deal came about with CaseIH the year I retired, Dec l, 1999. I was in a former Case dealership which was now selling New Holland and we were talking about it in 2000. Fiat was the talk of the town.
