The original subject was "Old Farmsteads".

Here is my FIL on his tractor in the 30s.

I have a couple to add as well. I posted these over on the Case forum as there are family owned Case tractors in one. Both are family owned farms.

Great picture. I bet your FIL rode the wheels off it and liked it as good as any store bought stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Neat to see the "Open wire" telephone wire across the street in last photo. I worked on a little of that when I was with Ma Bell in middle 60's.

Connor,

Both nice old farmsteads.

Really love the house in the family photo... it's FANTASTIC!

Seeing these photos reminds me of the one aerial photo of my parents' farm. Nobody knows when the photo was taken, but we suspect it was probably the late 1930's or possibly the very early 1940's. My father was born in 1942 and vaguely remembers the one and only Minneapolis Moline tractor on the farm, which is in the photo. Another item on the photo is the car, which one can clearly see has wooden spokes on the wheels. A lot changed from when that photo was take until my earliest memories, and a lot has changed since my earliest recollections.

Great photo! Wonder what rear wheels came from? Looks to be torque converter from auto trans, but with holes.
