Well, we finally got the 41 year old daughter married off yesterday. She finally got an acceptable guy and I think that he is probably the one to tame her. Very nice yet low budget outdoor reception, lots of friends, new and old, and relatives, young and old. I had told myself that I was going to stay low key and not do anything to attract attention away from my daughter on her big day. Well, she had this idea for the father daughter dance where we break directly from Celine Dion, into "Do You Love Me? by the Contours. She asked for it! Even as a 68 year old phart, I danced pretty actively just as I would have fifty years ago, and people were hooting and yelling and cheering. Afterwards, and for the rest of the evening people kept coming up to me and high fiving me and telling me that our dance was the best and most memorable part of the evening. Maybe seeing an old guy "gettin' down" makes old people feel a little younger and younger people feel some hope for when they get old. Thankfully , I was able to keep going until the music stopped and was able to hide how winded I was.
