Cyclops Headlight? not standard equipment

Had an 8n now getting a 53 jub. in the beginning of my research I saw alot about a large headlight smack on the front hood of tractor. naa models looked like...now that I know more It appears they were not standard equipment on those tractors....

was it accessory or what? wanting to know more about it since I saw in the begining now need Nothing about it. I evven heard it once refferred to as a cyclops light or something.

was in on NAA's and up or what?

wanting more info.

wait or maybe it was when I thought I might get a ferguson TO-20

maybe its Ferguson thing vs a ford thing?? as I was researching the TO-20 as I thought I was gonna get one of those at first.

Thanks

Ferguson had an aftermarket kit of that type but
very rare now. I think it mounted on top of hood.
Ford naa never did that I know about. The naa
jubilee is sometimes referred to as cyclops style
hood but used twin lights on sides.

Dunno about Fords, but I have some pix of unstyled JD tractors set up for night work...with one headlight, about a foot in diameter, on a long offset bracket on the front of the tractor. Makes for a funny pic.

ok smalltowner...thats what I was talking about..so it was an add on and now looking into it I see no reproductions that I can find so makes sense rare now.

I think sorta funny looking but now I see where cyclops name is assocate with the naa...the front emblem no lights.

Thanks all I knew you all would have the answers.

:D

"in the beginning of my research I saw alot"

Over the last twenty years I have done a lot of research on old Fords and I don't recall one single thing about any single cyclops headlight.
