coil wiring

I have a positive ground electrical system. Does the small wire from the side of the distributor connect to the positive or negative post on the coil? The other side being connected to the ignition switch. Thanks for the help.

Russ........the ONLY thing electrical that is connected positive (+) to positive (+) is when yer CHARGING yer battery. Otherwize ittza positive (+) to negative (-) ...or... negative (-) to positive (+) Yeah, I gitt itt, positive ground messes over yer mind 'cuz yer 12-volt BelchFire-V8 is negative ground. There are some OBSCURE advantages fer positive (+) ground in relationship to yer sparkies, ...BUT... modern sparkies are so much better than the original H-10 Champions. With todays additive filled gas, recommend AutoLite 437's gapped 0.025.......HTH, Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister

I agree with the other fine gents. For POS Ground the coils + wires to distributor (then to ground via closed points) and - to ignition switch. It will still produce a spark if wired bass ackwards but its best to wire correctly.
