John Deere 535 baler

I just bought a 535 round baler and on my first roll my net wrap wouldn't feed. I recently got the net wrap to feed but now the rollers will not disengage. I've taken the switch off and cleaned it but it still will not disengage.

I haven't used a 535 baler for a long time now But if I remember right the twine arm has to return
all of the way then it will disengage the rollers . If you have a book it should tell in trouble
shooting.

The JD 535 baler has a hydraulic system to run the mesh wrap system. You need to have all the springs and linkages on the right side working correctly to engage and dis-engage the hydraulic pump for it to work. This is on the baler right by the hydraulic pump not back on the mesh warp attachment. The system is hydraulic and mechanical so I do not know what "switch" you took off and cleaned but a switch will not do you any good on a JD 535.

I will NOT go into setting one in a post. You need to get a manual and check your baler out. The JD 535 baler is very reliable when set right. IF you do not have it set right or have broken springs/linkages it will drive you to drink.

Ditto what JD Seller stated about checking that 5 springs are present on linkage by twine pump & in the fact switch has no control on 535 surface wrap attachment. Check operation of cylinders(key 1). Also be sure hyd spool valve is shifting when twine tube reaches RH side of baler when mechanism is tripped.
