I have a garden tractor named an Osco 65. It is built similar to the Gibson. Tag says built by Osco Tractor works: Philadelphia, Pa. My grandfather bought it new in the late'40s. Does anyone have any information on this company. Years in business: models built: closed, bought out or merged: etc.... I have not found much detail on this company. Thanks

Didn't find info on the company, but found three websites that have a little info on the tractor that might help. Problem is, all three sites are competing forums! :? In lieu of that, won't post the direct links. However, one was on (external_link) and was about Lincoln Tractors, one was on (SmokStak) forum and was also about the Lincoln, and then two different threads actually about the Osco that were on (GardenTractorTalk); one dealing with centrifugal clutch and the other with the Osco in general. Between the 4, there is a small amount of info and some decent photos.

Hmm...that didn't work so well. Went to make a post and it simply disappeared. I reckon there's a bit of animosity between YT and some other forums?

Anyway, all I found of any use wasn't about the company, but the machine. There was a thread about Lincoln Tractor on two different forums, and then a 3rd forum had two threads about the Osco; one having to do with the centrifugal clutch and the other about the machine in general. Between the four sites, there was just a little info and some fairly decent photos.
