Did check stand-by pressure after R&R of pump? Stand-by pressure should be 2250 psi. What type valve(scv or ind) controls loader? With engine running at operating temp,3 pt raised look in hyd filler hole behind seat for misting oil which if misting is present indicates leaking control valve seals.

[No misting,i will check stand by pressure in the morn.not sure in the controls it has two levers on upper right for the front end loader.ind?Tx Jim"](reply to post at 09:39:07 07/02/17) [/quote]

Tx Jim I'm stll looking for a surflex disk tiller the newer style with the 24 inch disks If you see

With hyd oil at operating temp remove loader control valve return hose from tractor, plug orifice on tractor, start engine & ""no oil should exit open return hose"" with both levers in neutral.

I haven't seen a model 2400 surflex in yrs but I'll keep on the look out for one.

If loader valve is the convertible type open center to closed center or vice versa then a seal on closed center plug could be leaking. Remove closed center plug(key 12A) & check seal(key 10) for damage. If seal (key 10) isn't leaking then spools & housing are worn out & need replacing with another complete valve.

I just had another thought if FEL valve has a relief valve it might not be set above hyd system pressure(2250 psi) and it's bypassing.
I will check that in morning thanks for the advice.just a quick question, everything worked fine before R&r of pump it was just leaking before.so that's why I thought I must of messed somthing up.is there somthing I could of messed up by reassembling it that would of caused this?

Low hyd stand-by pressure could be the problem as stroke control valve valve which controls pressure could be faulty or not set correctly. As I previously stated stand-by should be 2250 psi.
