Any1 have any info on MF40E industrial backhoe.
There's only 1 gear selector, the clutch and brakes are on the LH side. But if it's power shuttle, there's no Forward/Reverse by the steering wheel. There's a red button on t dash, but written sticker is faded.
She starts and runs like a dream, have changed oils, filters, checked t wiring but still won't engage.
I'm waiting for new oil press guard set to run test on pressure.
I grew up on MF35/35x/135/240 and most other Tractors but never seen a set up like this b4.
Got a load of books/manuals and can't find t same 1in any.
If I know how to test t whole system, I'd be able to repair it.

Check the pedal on the right side for shuttle control. It will likely have one with two pads on it. One on the left and one on the right. One will be forward and the other reverse. Or, it may have a purely mechanical pedal that pivots right and left, one side for forward and the other for reverse. On the left side of tractor will only be brake pedals. As you push desired shuttle direction pedal further down, it will also increase engine rpm. Unless you also have hi-lo selector, guess you only get the choice of two speeds. Our, older 40B has both high/lo and 1-2, effectively four speed choices.
