Was Running When Parked V

I just got in with the 1954 Fergie TO 30. The owner had it for 25 or so years. Gen went out, battery died several years back. Turned mowing the pasture over to his son. Got a Mohawk (Continental Belton) shredder with it. Already hooked the shredder up and it's fine. The tractor is a fall/winter project. Or maybe next week.

Yep, doesn't really matter when you do the work - is only about 10° difference between summer and winter! *lol*

Nice tractor. That's probably the worst condition that I, personally, might try to attempt. In other words, it looks pretty darn good. I miss my old TO-30. Was a great machine.

this is the first where I didn't have to buy 4 new tires right off the bat. definitely the best condition of any of mine.

Kind of like the Farmall 100 I bought this spring - planned to work on it after the haying season is over. Tractor is almost done and no sign of getting hay done anytime soon. Nice looking project tractor you have.

The local Craig's list had a TO 20 or TO 39 listed yesterday for $600 in the Salem MO area. If I had the $$ and it wasn't 75 plus miles from me I would be likely to go after it but to far and do not wnat to go more in dept just to buy another tractor that I do not need

I look at some of the projects folks take on and wonder why someone would start so far in the hole. Yours looks like with a little tinkering it could drive off the trailer. Nice find with a lot to like.
