got 3.4 inches of rain last nite. this is my quarter section field. looks like close to a third is underwater. getting pretty late for a replant, supposed to get more rain this week. lot of roads flooded, creeks way out of banks, got a lot of corn in the water, hoping that will make it.

Where I live, some farmers are raising Peas for the canneries in Minn. Friday the Peas were harvested and beans planted the same day. Don't give up.

A fellow told me once the best crop of soybeans he ever raised was replanted on July 4th. Don't give up.

if the rain holds off and the field dries down, we can re plant. seems like the past several years these flash flood rains are getting more frequent and a lot heavier!!! when i bought these the creeks were narrow and usually dried up in the summer. they have tripled in size and are always running. must be sunspots!!,

glennster,

Dang, that's SOME puddle! Sure hope it drains away quickly enough that the beans make it... and that you don't get more rain this week.

We've gotten rain the last three days and there is standing water - but nothing like that.

around here in North central Indiana we had a really wet spring but not as bad as alot of folks.

many fields seemed to have ended up with permanent ponds. usually they go away especially since we've not had much rain at all the past few weeks. that's what's odd. we went from soaked to too dry but still have big water spots.

i've seen alot of guys with mini-excavators out in the middle of fields trying to fix tile.
