OT ? for Smart Phone gurus

I'm new to a "smart" phone!! It's so "smart alecky" that it thinks it knows better than I do what I want! So it has been randomly adding and/or changing my time entries in the calendar. Currently it has placed Barbadoos time entries in several of the entries that were correct when I originally entered them.

Any ideas on how to correct that? So far all I've been able to do is delete the entry and start over. It won't let me edit the entry.

I've tried several things and so far no help.

Sounds like the default time zone is different than the one you want.

Go to "settings" you should be able to check/change it there.

Without knowing the brand and model, it's difficult to give you more precise information.

A smart phone is just like your computer. It really is not yours, you just get to use it, and whoever it is that actually owns it can do as they wish with it.

Just like your computer, you can do a complete "restart" or "reboot", and sometimes that will solve the problem.

If it is an iphone go to setting and then to General, scroll down to date and time and set or you can put it on auto and it will do it itself when you go from one time zone to another.

I will keep my flip phone. I can text,email,take photos use speakerphone. Works for me.

Oh yes. I'm also keeping my flip phone. I just want the calendar feature of the Smart Phone so I can get rid of my pocket notebook with it's daily entries. Getting too lazy to write neatly in that notebook. I can use the calendar without paying for phone service.
