I have my usual cup of coffee in a paper cup..The
problem is when I put it in the microwave the cup
burns at the bottom (the paper)smells and effects
the taste..

Your microwave needs a stirring. Up in the top the older ones actually have what looks like a goofy fan blade. They can get stuck. Really cheep micro may not have one. Some have a rotating field and stir that way. Another trick to try is raise the cup up about 1/2 inch. You should see when the big commercial microwaves we have at work get screwed up . Just some suggestions.

Can't tell you how to solve your coffee cup problem but my wife solved the problem of too much salt in her stew recipe. She used less salt and now it's almost perfect and my life has been much better ever since !!!

I would put an empty dry paper coffee cup in the micro-wave along side the filled paper cup of coffee. If there is any foil or other micro-wave absorbing material embedded in the bottom of the cup the empty cup bottom should go up in flames.

Now that you mention it Dennis, I think you're right. All I know is that it's tasting pretty good lately.

Probably something in the paper that is burning, like a wax or other treatment to make the paper waterproof.

Try shortening the amount of time you nuke the cup. Maybe two 30-second runs instead of 1 minute. Heck you might find that the coffee is plenty hot with only half the nuking.

i make my coffee the old fashioned way, water in pot and add coffee and bring to a boil and ready in ten minutes. some of them goofy drip makers take longer and less taste. i prefer mine cold if left over as reheated just dont seam right. dont use micro wave either. but each to their own. nothing like the taste of coffee from an old fruit jar.
it would appear the heat setting is too high. just like when a person orders wings in some restaurants and they come crispy outside raw inside cause they have the deep fryer heat too high.

Quit drinking coffee! I quit about 10 years ago & feel good. A guy guessed my age at 64 & I said add another 10.

I drink a half dozen cups of coffee daily and feel great. I'm 82 and a week ago a doctor was startled when he saw my age. He said when he first saw me he thought I was about 70.
