I guess if you ever need a pto shaft, he probably has one? Yikes!

An old fella with heart trouble has 24 acres of treasures here, you can view it from Google Earth. I've never been there, but he was buying old scrap when I was a kid I guess, the iron just piles up.....

Someday such treasure troves won't be around any more, when the old pass on the place gets sold for scrap iron, hauled to China to make Walmart/Target trinkets, and all the old disappears. Zoning laws tend to grandfather such places in, but you can't start a new 'collection' of iron piles anymore in most places, so when they are gone, they are gone.

What is all the stuff in the shelves behind the garden tractors? Looks like pto shafts and slip clutches?---Tee

There is actually 4 tractors there and one more that's all apart in shed. That are for sale. He keeps hinting that I should get em . " Easy to fix" great tractor" " make a little money". Lol. Wants to sell whole business.

That shed is about 150 ft long and has shelves all the way through , mostly full of PTO shafts. Can't imagine why. The road in the woods goes about 1/4 mile and has several side roads ,can't dig through it in a day. Kevin in Central AL

When I was a kid some other kids and I were in a woods, came across a junk pile, there were remnants of FARM TOYS there, that was like treasure island! Don't think we carried anything away but it was fun looking.

Things eventually return to the earth. Can't understand why there is so much fuss about "cleaning" up places like this. I know of sites like this where once were treasures but now it's covered over with dirt. Most don't remember it and those that do have fond memories of finding a obsolete part that made their project complete. Now and then I look on google earth and make a mental note of all the places I once explored. Matter of fact, my favorite junkyard has several feet of dirt on it including all kinds of tires and other "nasty" stuff. Now it is a winery with grapes growing and folks with plenty of time and money to sip that wine that came from the dirt of a junkyard. They should label it "vintage 90 weight".

We are in Central AL. 30 miles from Talladega super speedway. Long trip. Maybe cheap shipping? Shoot me an email and I will see if he has one. His prices are low! Thefenceguy2000@ yahoo.com

Dang, too far for me. Wouldnt mind having the mower but the trip would cost more than it's worth.

Yep. But if you ever down this way shoot us an email. If I remember you were in alanta not long ago. Maybe around the ice storm? Supposed to get a new truck there.

"Most don't remember it..."

Ain't that the truth!

How many times have you driven by a recently cleared lot, that is right there in your neighborhood, and can't remember what was there?

Where ya comin' from? Another place not far away that had tons of Cub and A implements and parts. Worth a look too.
