Not a bad day

I went and raked 24 acres this morning. Got to the field with the baler at about a quarter to one. Got done baling at about five minutes to five. 143 4x5s.

Good for you , my day was no H@ll . Plugged the feed rolls on the harvester , and the little motor that is supposed to reverse the roll is burned out . I worked at it all afternoon ,not a nice job, and still can't get it to budge . Think i'll just bale the hay tomorrow if it don't rain . Grrr!

Ya I finished baling today, parked the baler in the shed and it started raining, can't get better then that!

Would have been done yesterday but the baler somehow tried to eat the wind guard with a wad of hay, sure made a mess of it!

Everybody around here is going flat out. Lotsa corn and beans to plant yet, Lotsa first cutting still out. It's nothing but heifer hay, now. Tons of protein per acre has been lost over the last two weeks! I'd wager 50% of the protein has been lost in the last two weeks. Most of the neighbors seemed to make substantial progress today.

started baling at 2:30 on the last field and got all the equipment home and in the shed by 5:15 50 4x4 bales on hillsides and small field. Total of 178 for that hollow, I've never worked in a 25 acre field, there just aren't any around here. Still have some to cut but the rain is due to start tonight and last till Sunday (heavy chance that is.
