I hope you can see enough from the picture to see what I was describing as to how the lift works. The cylinder is attached to the subframe and as it extends it has two rollers that run on the tracks as the other two roll and push against the rockers or whatever they are called.

Rollie,

that is garwood cam and roller hoist , good hoist ,

i have one on a brockway. Originally it was on a Mack

EHX 1945 , was a baltimore city highway truck. I ran the

truck till the cab fell apart ,had an EN 354 A flat head

engine.

Never saw a lift unit like that on a dump. Looks like it would take more cylinder pressure to dump. If the tuck was loaded front heavy seems it would pressure out. And also I would wonder if that design broke a lot of cylinders off the frame mounts.
Not saying its not a good lift at all. Just seems the more a cylinder is attached forward on the dump bed it wouldn't take as much effort (pressure) to lift.

Lol, did you check out the size of that cylinder? There is no question that it takes a lot of pressure to lift that far back. Looks like the frame is bent down a bit too. I'm sure it can lift all that wagon will haul tho. It amazes me the different designs on things that were used over the years. I wouldn't mind owning 9t just for the uniqueness of it.
