did some wire tracing and power checks. No power to the carburetor solenoid. I did a work around and it started right up. Will do a permanent fix later.
My first time running a dual stick ZTR. It goes way too fast for a beginner. By the end of the yard I was starting to get the hang of it. Ran like a top. Way more power than necessary. 26 HP with a 60 inch deck.
Still cleaning up storm damage from 2 1/2 weeks ago. Will finish mowing when the last of the brush is removed.

I bought a new Cub Cadet TANK a year ago. I ran Cub Cadet garden tractors mowing the yard since I was 6-7 years old, over 50 years. I still have the one Dad bought in 1965, one I bought in 1981, and the 982 I bought in 1999. Dealer dropped the Tank off about 2 PM, explained a few things, answered a couple questions. I drove it around a little while dealer stowed his chains & straps. Dealer pulled out of the yard and I pulled up to my normal starting spot, engaged deck and started mowing. In 10-15 minutes I was comfortable on it. In just under 3 hours I was done mowing my very shaggy 2-1/2 acre yard. Normal mowing time with my 20 hp Cub Cadet 982 tractor with 50 inch deck was 4 hours. Tank has 27 hp Kawasaki engine, 15 gallon gas capacity, 54 inch deck. I'very got mowing time down to 2-1/2 hours now, few over grown bushes to remove yet and I'll be at 2 hours.
The new designed decks cut so much better than the 35 to 50 year old decks on my old tractors did. And the TANK can mow up to 12 mph, twice as fast as the old tractors can even go. I didn't like the idea of a single purpose mowing machine but after mowing 3-4 times I wished I'd been able to buy a zero turn 20-25 years ago. I doubt I ever mow with one of the tractors again.
