Did you just use strait vinegar in your tractor or did you dilute it? I tried looking at past posts but not much luck. Thanks in advance!

I diluted it 50/50. Had moderate success. Be careful cleaning them out too good. I put muriatic acid in it two weeks ago and it cost me $1100 to replace the radiator. Apparently the lime scale was the only think keeping the coolant in.

Thanks, would be my luck it start leaking this time of year. I have an excellent place just over in Iowa that will recore it, already have one to do in my friends 185 Allis, might as well make it two! LOL

We have alot of heat exchangers at work and the process water side will lime up. We have a cart made and use phosphoric acid to flush them. I borrowed some acid and cleaned my 8430 radiator with it. Worked perfectly!

My son told me to use CRL,but I needed 3 gallons for that big radiator and I couldn't find that much in town,so I went with acid. I took the hoses off and capped off the necks on the rad. I probably shouldn't have left it in for so long.
