This is what happens when beavers and fish are more important than farmland. I've been here over 40 years and never seen a flood. The beavers have built dams along the creek and then it has built up with silt causing major flooding in some areas. When we phoned for help we just got a run around. Nobody wants to ruffle the feathers of environmentalists even tho it is deemed as a non fish bearing stream because the fish can't get by the beaver dams. This is tractor related because we carried the sand bags with the tractor. My rant for today.

What happens if 50 gallons of drain oil gets spilled all over a dam and maaaaybe burst into flame? I could only wish. I am to the point where I totally hate the government idiots.

Is that a property line where the fence is at? I know it is against the law to change where water flow comes off of your property. Wondering if there is laws protecting you from water backing up. Beaver dams or no beaver dams. I don't think it would be legal for a neighbor down stream to build a dam and back water up on you without your consent. I bet there is laws against a neighbor doing that. The envirementalist should be forced to do something about it. My 2 cents.

Unfortunately, while the enviro-nuts act as "The Voice" for nature, they cannot be held responsible when nature gets out of control. So from their vantage point, it's a win-win situation. Courts would see this as an act of God; not as an act of enviro-nuts. ...Yet I've never heard of God having to make any corrections, either.

The fence is just to keep horses out of the garden. It is all our property including the creek. At least I pay taxes on it but the Herbly Gurblies seem to have more say about it than me. I cleaned some brush out of the creek this year and got reported and payed a fine for my effort. Just trying to prevent restricting the flow

They still do that here from time to time, but not just anyone. ONLY someone from the state gets to light the big firecrackers here!

Likewise, when they decide there are too many deer for an area, do they open it up to more intense hunting? Nope, instead they use tax dollars to hire helicopters and sharpshooters to make the kills. What happens to the meat is beyond me, as so many areas here are inaccessible, even by helo.
