Carb went south

I have an old Cub cadet 108 garden tractor I use to pull my lawn trailer. Used it over the weekend to move some dirt filling in a low spot in the yard. Just went to get on it and the floor was damp under the carb area. Gas leaking out of carb. Probably a piece of crud in the needle/seat. Using it anyway ! Oil seems ok and not gassy smelling.

Could be bad. Was rebuilt three years ago. Probably just something keeping the needle open.

So many people on here will tell you to pour some seafoam into the gas. I will tell ya the stuff has straightened out some gunk problems.

My dad has a 1948 Farmall Cub. every now and then I use to get this call from him. telling me that the gas was coming from the bottom of his carburetor. All I had to tell him was to go out and turn his gas off by the filter under the gas tank. Shure enough that was the problem. He would never turn the gas off After running his Cub.
