Rockshaft Housing 1755

The rockshaft housing gasket has started leaking on my Oliver 1755, so it looks like I have to pull it and replace the gasket. Is it just a matter of disconnecting everything attached to it, and lifting it off, or is there anything inside that would hold it down. I assume the lift cylinder has to somehow attach to the rockshaft
Any tips or tricks would be appreciated

It just started? Doesn't that give you at least two years before it is time to fix it?

I suppose - I guess I could just park it where I don't mind a bare spot..

Pete, On my 1950T and 1555 the dowel pins were a bugger and trying to pry on the housing without damaging the pan underneath. I was over in your neck of the woods last week. Hauled a few loads of stone out of Parkers pit in Mt Vision. I wondered if you know the guy with at least 4 Oliver's just down the road from Parker's gravel bank headed towards Laurens.

I don't know him, but he's getting quite a collection of older ones - I think he does some hay, but he's got some newer tractors he does that with.
