F 250 SD bearings

Replacing the rear rotors and brakes. The truck is a '99 with 225K and I only put 2-3000 a year on now that I'm retired. I pulled the shafts and the hubs run smooth with no play or leaks. Should I bother with the wheel bearings or leave them as is? Maybe just re-torque the nuts?
 
If they run smooth I would leave them be. Tapered roller bearing rarely fail unless abused. My 1990 Dodge W300 has the original rear bearings with over 300K while pulling trailers a large amount of the time.
 
That's a hard call.

Since they are not leaking, leave them alone?

Or, the seals are going on 20 years old, how much longer will they last?

You're right there, if you've got the time and want to invest in the seals, now would be the time to do it.

But if not they might go a long time.
 
I will second replacing the seals if you have the time and money to do so. I have had several sets of seals on the Dodge over the years.
 

With rear disc I don't fudge with seals/bearings if there is no signs of leakage...

If it were a drum set up YES I would go after the seals it would get all new hold down hardware, all new self adjuster hardware and emergence brake cables... Once and done and be done with it...
Ford rear drum brakes on a floating axle are about as junky as it comes... Hardware and e-brake cables are cheap it would surprise folks how cheap those parts are...
