I want to seed a Rodeo Arena to be used for parking in four weeks. What grain grows the quickest? I need it to grow up so it is not so dirty for parking RVs at our Bluegrass Jamboree.

I would suggest oats or cereal rye. The rye will tiller a lot more than oats, but will never get ripe without a winter period.

4 weeks is being rather optimistic. The rye is the best choice, but it will not have enough time to really establish itself, and driving on it will just tear it up and destroy it, like it was never there.

Yup, and if it turns out to be a wet weekend the mess will be way worse seeded to oats.

Buckwheat grows the fastest, but I don't think you would want it for that.

If you use a drill I would recommend double seeding. Plant one direction then second pass at 90 degrees to first.
