Hello all, I'm trying to get a case
630 up and running. She's a diesel
and she doesn't want to seem to fire
up. If I let it sit for a day or so
and try to start it is fires up but
only runs for less than a minute. I
try to start it back up and no fuel.
Any ideas? I'm guessing new fuel
filter

Hi Wayne,
So I just went out and went to take a
look and I decided to take a peek in the
tank. I found out that the tank was
empty... I feel a little silly. That
should have been my first go to. Haha

Empty tank means you now have to bleed the air out of the system or it will not start. Plus it is a good time to change the filters since good chance with the tank running out of fuel the filters caught any crap that may have been in the tank

If you continue to have the problem after putting fuel in the tank. There is a screen where the fuel line enters the injector.

If the filter is OK and fuel in the tank and it still dies try this. Take loose the two screw pump timing cover while it's running, if it does not die with the fuel leak then the pump needs repair. Broken retainer ring bits are blocking the return fuel flow, and when housing pressure rises high enough to match charging pressure the pump plungers stop moving and engine dies. Don't keep running it that way, or there's risk of shearing the retainer pins seizing the pump.
