injection pump on 630

I have a case 630 diesel that has set for 3 years, and I tried to start it and the throttle is moving on pump, but it will not advance and run, when I bought it 5 years ago, I would put a small shot of starting fluid to start it and it would run good and blow clear, could something be stuck in pump? any help will be appreciated,, thanks J

Yes, most likely has internal parts stuck with stale fuel inside. Have a JD pump in now for the same trouble, during tear down found metering valve, plungers and delivery valve all stuck tight..
