3 Point hitch 1949 john deere A

I am looking for information on a 1949 John Deere A 3 point hitch. How much can it pick up? Can it pull a2 bottom plow no sand? Is there anyone with some photos of this?

I put a 3 pt on my 39 A which had a lot less power than a 49. It will pick up a 2 bottom plow with no trouble and pull it just fine. I grew up pulling a 5 disc tiller with a 49 A in 4th gear in clay soil.

The hydraulics will lift a 2-bottom PULL TYPE Plow easily..if you plan to LIFT a fully Mounted plow...I think that first, you will never get your "A" wheels set narrow enough to use a Mounted one..

2nd, the Power-Trol may or may not lift the mounted plow...and a lot may depend on the present condition of the Hydraulics..

Here's a photo of the hitch on my G. Not sure what the
maximum left would be. The most I've asked it to lift is a 9 foot
finish mower and it had no problems with that.
