oliver 1355 3 pt lift

looking at an oliver 1355 .. the three point lift arms will not raise..was told they worked when it was used last winter but it now has only about an inch of movement when trying to lift and i have no idea where to start or what to look for. any help would be appreciated.

Pull the transmission dip stick to see if has off color oil,if so water is in it.Most likely trouble spot is the inline screen on the suction side going to the pump.Its the big round thing in the line close to the lower part of the block, take the two bolts out and pull out the screen and clean it with carb cleaner and make sure the rubber O Ring or gasket is good that seals it so it won't suck air.Probably need to drain the rear and transmission and put it new oil.Takes about 10 gallons of transmission oil.
