Curious about a JD 620

I'm not a JD guy but was wondering what the horse power was on these and what one might sell for in what looks to be in pretty good shape. Saw one sold at a auction yesterday and based on what little I know about the old 2 cylinder prices it went real cheap. Maybe because it wouldn't start - started to turn over but had a bad battery. It was almost making me wish I had bid on it but I think it would have fought with all the rusty red I have around here.

I've had a 620/630 around for almost 50yrs.....I have 3 now. They are about 50hp. and are, in my opinion, as good as it gets. Reliable, brute strong, easy on fuel, and comfortable to operate.
Value depends on options and condition....in my area, a entry level running, NF, usable tires, about $3K. I have a 630 WF , full 3pt., delux fenders, new rubber, and nice paint, $7K (and I would not take that for it). PS: I just got off of it 30min. ago

Around here it would have to not run to sell for less than $1500 and they certainly can go for more than $5000.00 for a nice one.

On those I would pay a little more and get a good one. Me suspect an overhaul would be very costly.

less than a diesel two cylinder.
The 620 will make decent power with a little bit of blueprinting yet still start and run stock.
